You can be playing Chrome & Covenant in 30 minutes. Here’s how.
What you need
2 ten-sided dice per player. A character sheet (download here). 2–5 players and one GM. The Milk Run starter adventure (below). That’s it.
10-minute rules primer
When the outcome is uncertain and the stakes matter:
1. Roll 2d10
2. Add your Stat (Mind, Body, or Soul — whichever fits)
3. Add your Skill rank (if you have a relevant skill)
4. Meet or beat the Target Number the GM sets
5. Choices create Echoes — consequences that ripple forward
That’s the core. Everything else — Karma Points, cyberware, datarunning, Conduit abilities — layers on top of this one roll.
Choose a quickbuild
Don’t build a character from scratch. Grab one of these pre-made operatives and start playing immediately.
Street Blade — Combat-forward, the easiest character for new players. Hits hard, moves fast, asks questions later.
Signal Ghost — Datarunner. Hacks systems, runs programs, affects the physical world through the Mesh.
Mercy Conduit — Channels an AI’s gifts. Faith-tech support who heals, shields, and unsettles everyone nearby.
Chrome Fixer — Social operator. Knows people, moves gear, negotiates between factions.
Relic-Haunted Survivor — Carries a piece of Lucent Ark tech that won’t stay quiet. Mystery and weirdness follow.
