The year is 2089. A decade after the Fracture, the world has settled into something that isn’t peace and isn’t war — it’s survival, faction by faction, city by city, choice by choice.
Four Regions, Four Worlds
Aurora-9 (formerly Puerto Rico) — Neon resistance under corporate domes. Identity erased, culture fighting to survive. The Mesh is strongest here. Triads run the shadows. The CRB runs the underground.
The Iron Belt (Pittsburgh–Detroit–Cleveland) — Industrial theocracy where Machine Priests worship through labor and war-factory lords build weapons from salvaged AI relics. The Forge Below pulses beneath the rust.
The Forgotten States (Texas–Oklahoma–Kansas–Arkansas–Missouri) — Dust, defiance, and buried silos. The CRB heartland. Jefferson whispers from Silo 87. The Radiant Span flickers in the deep.
The Fallen Shore (the drowned Atlantic coast) — Grief, horror, and drowned memory. Ten feet of sea rise swallowed the coast. The Wake is strongest here — a digital purgatory where the dead don’t stay quiet.
This Is Where You Come In
You are not a hero. You are a person — augmented, compromised, trying to do something that matters in a world where every choice has weight. You might be a CRB operative smuggling relics out of corporate vaults. A Conduit channeling an AI whose motives you don’t fully understand. A datarunner diving the Wake for memories that someone will pay to recover — or pay to keep buried.
The Echo Principle governs everything: every action ripples, every choice leaves an echo. What you do matters. What you don’t do matters more.
